Comedian Theo Von has earned a legion of unlikley fans for his antics at MMA events.
The funnyman is a fight fanatic, who leans on his friendship with Joe Rogan to get great UFC tickets.
However, unlike most of Dana White‘s VIP guests, Theo Von is in his seat before the first scrap starts.
Earlier this month, fans praised Von as a ‘real one‘ after noticing he was one of the first people in postion at UFC 313, arriving several hours before Alex Pereira lost his light heavyweight title to Magomed Ankalaev in the main event of the evening.

Theo Von explains his love for the UFC
Von’s shocking habit of taking his seat very early was first spotted by fans at UFC 310 last December.
The 45-year-old has now revealed his love for elite-MMA is why he refuses to miss prelim fights.
“The whole thing is so perfect over there. I love getting to go watch that,” Von said on the Full Send podcast.
“Oh yeah. Well, it’s the greatest fighters in the world,” he added when asked about arriving early for UFC events.
“When else do you get to see a great fight, dude? When I was growing up, you had to wait around your s—– apartment complex until somebody f—— cheated on somebody. And then the men or women would come out there and fight, but it wasn’t sanctioned, and it was like f—— 30 seconds.
“I’d show up for that. I was staying out there for that. So, of course…”
Theo Von remembers grim aftermath of UFC 291
Theo Von shares a friendship with UFC superstar Dustin Poirier, who suffered a famous head kick knockout loss when he squared of against Justin Gaethje for the BMF belt at UFC 291 in July 2023.
On an episode of Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, Poirier opened up about falling short in big fights.
“Losing sucks, especially when you work so hard. With fighting, everything goes into it. I put myself into this for real,” he admitted.
This prompted his buddy to reminisce: “I remember sitting in your [UFC 291] green room. It felt like we were at a funeral in a weird way, but you were right there.”
Poirier replied: “I told everybody that in there, ‘This isn’t a funeral’.” This prompted a huge laugh from Von, who utilized his stand-up comedy experience, to make light of the situation.
He chuckled: “You’re going around trying to boost people’s spirits.”
Poirier chuckled: “You put on a black suit; I don’t even know where you got it.”
The comic then burst into song, claiming everyone in the room, delivered an awe-inspiring performance of Chester D.T. Baldwin’s ‘I Still Hear Mama Praying’.
The fighter then claimed: “Somebody stood up and said, ‘He was a good man’. I’m right here, bro.”
