‘Sign her ASAP’… Dakota Ditcheva’s UFC London cameo gets fans excited about potential move from PFL

A UK superstar who isn’t signed to the UFC created a reaction online after being spotted on the broadcast.

The UFC’s return to London was a tough night for the home fighters with Leon Edwards being finished for the first time in his career in the main event.

Fight fans inside the O2 Arena on March 22 also witnessed the retirement of Molly McCann but that isn’t where the disappointing results ended.

Whilst it wasn’t all bad, Mick Parkin lost his undefeated record and Jai Herbert was on the wrong end of a controversial decision to name just two other outcomes.

Meanwhile, one of the most talked about superstars in the sport right now, who also happens to be from the UK, was spotted in the crowd as fans got excited about Dakota Ditcheva’s future

Fans call for the UFC to sign Dakota Ditcheva as soon as possible after brief London cameo

The UFC has signed some big names from other promotions in recent times but if there’s one addition that is right at the top of every wish list right now, it is the PFL’s Dakota Ditcheva.

At just 26-years-old, she has become one of the faces of the PFL having ran through the opposition in last year’s tournament to remain undefeated at 14-0.

It doesn’t look like the striking specialist will be making the switch to compete inside the Octagon in the immediate future but that doesn’t mean that it won’t happen down the line.

Fans on social media quickly noted that Ditcheva was in attendance at the O2 Arena but this significantly increased when she was seen during a crowd shot on the broadcast.

Sat directly behind Paddy Pimblett who was always going to get his moment during the card, it was impossible to miss one of the breakout stars of the past few years.

Simply put, fight fans want to see her mix it up with the best in the world and they made their feelings on that very clear via social media.

“Sign her ASAP,” just about sums up the general consensus whilst another fan gave a glowing review of the American Top Team fighter. “Pfp best women in the sport btw”

UFC Executive David Shaw was asked about Ditcheva’s on-screen appearance during the post-fight press conference but he wasn’t able to shed any light on whether this was anything more significant than her watching on as a fight fan.

“I don’t know. I wish I had more info for you, I really don’t know.”

Dakota Ditcheva to the UFC would be one of the biggest signings in recent times

It has been a long time since there was a fighter in a different promotion that fans wanted to see in the UFC so badly.

That’s largely because Dakota Ditcheva has already proven herself to be the best fighter in her weight class in the PFL and she’s done it in impressive fashion at an early stage of her career.

Some believe that Ditcheva might be the best flyweight on the planet and she certainly has the potential to became a huge name if she’s able to continue having success.

It seems impossible that at some point in her career, the UFC won’t try to bring Ditcheva over because she’s a ready-made star.
