After years of talk about him signing to the UFC, ‘The Last Pirate’ produced a show stealing performance in his Octagon debut.
Former welterweight champion Leon Edwards is set to face a hungry and rising contender in Sean Brady this Saturday night in London.
Whilst the main event is a fascinating clash at the top of the card, there is another fight that has fans excited considering the two men involved.
Nathaniel Wood knows a thing or two about being in a great fight, as does his next opponent, France’s Morgan Charriere.
They are set to collide on March 22 at the O2 Arena in London where Charriere will share the card with a former opponent of his, Jordan Vucenic, who takes on Chris Duncan in a fight with added stakes hanging over it.

Morgan Charriere brutalized Manolo Zecchini with body kicks in his UFC debut
Having fought nine times in Cage Warriors where he held the featherweight title whilst competing against the likes of Vucenic and Paul Hughes, Morgan Charriere’s move to the UFC was long awaited.
‘The Last Pirate’ had built a huge following in his home country and that only increased when he hit the ground running inside the Octagon.
Charriere signed to the UFC in 2023 with his debut being booked in for the promotion’s return to Paris, France in September.
Whilst Ciryl Gane pocketed a performance bonus for his knockout of Serghei Spivac in the main event, the new arrival took home the other one after he made quick work of Italy’s Manolo Zecchini.
After hurting his opponent with a kick to the body, Charriere continued to hammer away at that same target with devastating impact before Zecchini crumbled to the floor in the opening round.
The 29-year-old had been highly rated for some time but this left no doubts that he belonged under the brightest lights on the biggest stages possible.
Morgan Charriere has produced nothing but highlights thus far
Though Morgan Charriere may have suffered a split decision loss in his second outing, his featherweight bout with Chepe Mariscal last April was a fight of the night winning barnburner between two great fighters.
Whilst Mariscal has gone on to add to his current streak with two more wins, ‘The Last Pirate’ bounced back last time out with another devastating knockout win in the first-round in the French capital.
A big left hook on the break put Brazil’s Gabriel Miranda out cold in another display of his power that saw him earn another bonus.
With England’s Nathaniel Wood, who is also a former Cage Warriors champion, also having a good track record for producing entertaining fights, the main card opener can’t afford to be missed.
