Despite being one of the most skilled MMA fighters in the world, Leon Edwards always has an extremely calm demeanor which can sometimes be taken as a weakness.
This coming Saturday, Leon Edwards is looking to remind the world that he is one of the best welterweight fighters on the planet when he faces off against American wrestler, Sean Brady.
Edwards hasn’t fought since losing his title to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304 last July and is hoping that with a win over Brady, he can climb back into title contention.
Ahead of their huge clash at the O2 Arena in London, Brady has criticized Edwards for his attitude during fight week, claiming that the Brit is overlooking him by targeting a trilogy fight against Muhammad.

Joe Rogan saved bodyguard from Leon Edwards beating in nightclub exchange
‘Rocky’ Edwards has always been a fighter who has come under criticism from the UFC fanbase as he isn’t brash on the microphone and because of his point fighting style.
Despite that, someone who has always been extremely supportive publicly of the Brit, is UFC icon, Joe Rogan.
The longtime UFC commentator doesn’t tend to have many active fighters on his Joe Rogan Experience Podcast as he doesn’t want to come under criticism from the fanbase for being biased when he calls the fights, however, Edwards is one who has made an appearance on the show.
With Edwards being a quiet person and someone who often keeps himself to himself, he leaves himself open to being targeted.
During an episode of his podcast, Rogan told former UFC heavyweight, Brendan Schaub a story of when he had to save a bodyguard from a potential Edwards beating after targeting him in a nightclub.
“There was this dude, I don’t want to say who he worked for but he was a bodyguard and he talked s— to Leon Edwards when Leon was with me, I brought Leon to a show, Leon did my podcast then we went, and did a show with (Dave) Chappelle, then afterward we all went out to this club.
“It was at the end of the night and this guy decided he was gonna kick everybody out and for some reason, he singled out Leon Edwards and he got in his face.
“He said, ‘Hey man, I f—— told you it’s time to leave’, and then I got in between them and said, ‘I know you probably made some f—– up mistakes in your life, you’re about to make the biggest one.’
“I pulled him aside and he went like a ghost, I go ‘that’s one of the baddest motherf—— on the planet’,” Rogan continued.
Leon Edwards answers staph infection rumors ahead of UFC London
Ahead of his return to London this Saturday, eagle-eyed fans on social media picked up on an image of Edwards seemingly with staph infection on his arm.
Despite that at the media day this past Wednesday, Edwards responded to the concerns, claiming that the image was from six weeks ago and that he is now recovered.
Although Shavkat Rakhmonov is likely the next title challenger after Muhammad’s title defense at UFC 315, Edwards believes he can snatch the title shot with a comprehensive win over Brady.
