Dana White insists there’s no major issue holding up the biggest UFC fight of 2025.
Heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who is widely regarded as the greatest fighter in MMA history, has been locked in talks for a clash with interim titleholder, Tom Aspinall, since knocking out Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 in November.
Several months later, an official announcement is yet to be made and Aspinall is ‘bored’ of waiting.
However, Dana White assures that everything is in order and the fight confirmation everyone craves is coming in the not-too-distant future.

Dana White provides Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall update
Dana White recently touched down in England ahead of UFC London, which will see former welterweight champion Leon Edwards square off against Sean Brady in the main event at the O2 Arena on Saturday night.
Naturally, he’s been fielding questions about the best heavyweight MMA star the UK has ever produced.
“Well, I’ll tell you what I’ve been telling you since day one,” White replied when asked for an update on Jones vs Aspinall. “The fight’s going to happen. It’s just a matter of when now, and getting it signed and done.
“The fight will happen. It’s gonna happen. It’s done, but it’s not done enough to sit right here now and announce it and give you a date – but the fight is going to happen.
“There’s no logistics. It’s just a matter of getting it signed.”
Jon Jones announces massive career move
As White and Aspinall continue to talk up the heavyweight unification fights, Jones remains silent on the matter.
However, the 37-year-old has announced a huge career move that’ll see him link up with Mike Perry.
On Friday, it was revealed that Jones has become the co-owner of Perry‘s combat sports promotion, Dirty Boxing Championship.
The promotion held its inaugural event this past November, behind closed doors, as former UFC star, Yoel Romero picked up a win in their first-ever main event.
Jones was in attendance for the event and provided a shocked reaction to Romero’s KO.
“I was hooked from the first show,” he told TMZ Sports.
“I believe this is going to be a powerhouse of combat sports. I’m proud to sign my name next to it,”
