Conor McGregor found himself as the topic of conversation in the Oval Office this past week as Donald Trump gave his opinion on the Irish fighter.
Conor McGregor‘s fighting future is still in serious doubt, having not competed in combat sports since 2021 when he broke his ankle in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier.
During his time out of action, McGregor has become a promoter for BKFC after becoming part-owner of the Bare-Knuckle Boxing promotion and has continuously hinted at fighting under the BKFC banner.
Despite that, fans have seemingly become tired of ‘The Notorious’ antics outside of the Octagon as the past week, McGregor was booed by fans in Ireland when attending a concert.

Conor McGregor reacts to praise from Donald Trump
Someone who has seemingly become a relatively regular spectator at UFC events, is the American President, Donald Trump.
Trump has attended several events over the past few years, receiving a pretty electric pop from the fans each time.
Earlier this week, the President praised the former UFC double champion for his skills inside the Octagon, also commenting on his notorious tattoos.
“I do happen to like the fighter, he’s got the best tattoo I’ve ever seen, Conor’s great, right? You have a lot of great Irish fighters, actually, I don’t know what that is, but Ireland’s always had a lot of great fighters. You know why? Because they’re tough people, they’re smart and passionate people,” Trump stated.
“Thank you President Trump,” McGregor responded.
Conor McGregor’s UFC return looking unlikely according to test history
Despite a portion of the MMA fanbase remaining hopeful that the 36-year-old will return to the Octagon sooner rather than later, it is looking increasingly unlikely.
So far this year, as per the UFC testing history database, McGregor hasn’t registered a single drug test, whereas last year when he was supposed to return at UFC 303, he registered 11 test sessions.
And with that, that rules out an imminent return for the Irishman, and the majority of the fanbase have now come to terms with the fact that we may have seen ‘The Notorious’ compete in the UFC for the final time.
