At UFC 313 on Saturday, Mauricio Ruffy scored one of the greatest knockouts not only of this year but of all time.
UFC 313 on Saturday delivered one of the best events so far this year and to kick off the main card, lightweight veteran, Bobby Green was left face down on the floor after suffering an insane knockout.
Of course, fans went crazy for the knockout, with it being branded as Knockout of the Year so far and one of the most impressive knockouts in recent memory.
Following the incredible knockout, Mauricio Ruffy called for a fight against another veteran of the division, Beneil Dariush, who has since responded to the callout.

With UFC 313 being the biggest event of the year thus far, there were several stars in attendance, including consensus greatest featherweight of all time, Alexander Volkanovski.
Alexander ‘The Great’ is preparing for another huge fight in his career as he takes on Diego Lopes in the UFC 314 main event for the vacant featherweight title.
Just under a month out from his fight, Volkanovski took a little bit of time out of his camp to enjoy the fights on Saturday night and provided a popular reaction to Ruffy’s emphatic knockout.
“Wow! S—! That was f—— insane!” Volkanovski said, with his reaction caught in a video on his YouTube channel.
“I was saying to (my friend) because I knew a bit about Ruffy, I knew he was on a bit of a tear, but then I was like, with my picks, I’m like, with Green being unorthodox and such a big underdog, I thought there could be some value there.
“And then I watched a bit of footage on Ruffy and I was like, ‘Oh crap, I don’t think I’m getting that pick right.’
“He’s good. Even before that knockout, you could just see his composure, his eye, literally within like five seconds I was sitting there thinking, ‘Ruffy is gonna find him any minute here’, I didn’t expect a spinning back-kick though. That was impressive, that was nuts,” he continued.

The Fighting Nerd took to X a few hours after his incredible win, showing the fans that he envisioned finishing Green with an incredible spinning wheel kick, sharing a video of him practicing the exact strike just weeks before his fight.
Ruffy and his Fighting Nerd teammates continue to rise to superstardom and are all undefeated in the UFC so far as they continue their pursuits to the title.
UFC boss, Dana White revealed following UFC 313 that not only was Ruffy trending on social media but the Fighting Nerds as a team were also trending.
Jean Silva and Carlos Prates are up next for the Brazilian team with both fighters scheduled to fight at UFC 314.
