Joe Rogan’s latest slip of the tongue didn’t make it past eagle-eyed social media users who are making fun of his commentary flub.
Rogan has been a key player on the commentary for UFC pay-per-view events over the years, and is a beloved figure with MMA fans who have been watching for years. He and Daniel Cormier provided the color commentary on UFC 313 on Saturday, while Jon Anik was the play-by-play.
The issue with having a voice that is one of the most recognisable in the world is that when Rogan makes a mistake it is amplified. And one moment during Amanda Lemos and Iasmin Lucindo‘s ring walks immediately went viral with fans on social media.

Joe Rogan accidentally calls female fighter ‘young man’
One of the most controversial fights of Saturday’s event was Iasmin Lucindo and Amanda Lemos’ main card showdown. The strawweights went the distance, with Lemos coming out on top in one of the least fan-friendly fights in recent pay-per-view memory.
In fact, perhaps one of the only interesting moments came in the pre-fight as the pair were making their walk to the octagon. Lucindo was on her way into the cage when Joe Rogan accidentally said: “Amanda Lemos is very dangerous, but this young man has tremendous potential.”
He didn’t immediately correct the error, but made sure to refer to Lemos as a “lady” during her walk to the octagon afterwards. It was a very funny moment which got people talking, particularly on X where the clip went viral.
Fans react to Joe Rogan’s UFC 313 flub
The moment got a lot of reaction on X with fans making fun of Rogan’s gaffe, with many writing some variation of “I thought I was the only one that caught him saying that.” Another joked that Rogan was “wrong on both counts,” joking that Lucindo is neither a woman or a fighter with potential.

“LOL THEY COMPLETELY BRUSHED OVER IT,” one commenter wrote after witnessing the flub live. “IT WAS SILENT FOR LIKE A GOOD 10-15 SECONDS.”
Some were more forgiving to Rogan, with one kinder commenter writing: “Joe is been doing this forever. There gona be slip ups.” Various iterations of the video have garnered hundreds of thousands of views.
