Tom Aspinall believes Jon Jones is running out of options after watching UFC 313.
The interim heavyweight champion has been chasing a UFC unification clash with ‘Bones’ for months.
Tom Aspinall recently claimed that Jon Jones is holding up their eagerly anticipated fight.
The greatest MMA legend of all time has made no secret of his preference to face Alex Pereira next, but that matchup has lost its sparkle after Magomed Ankalaev’s light heavyweight title win at UFC 313 on Saturday night.

Tom Aspinall sends message to Jon Jones after UFC 313
On Sunday, Tom Aspinall shared a video of his live reaction to Pereira’s shock loss at UFC 313.
The Englishman scored the fight 48-47 in favor of Ankalaev, like two of the cageside judges did.
Afterwards, he considered the impact Pereira’s loss had on his potential fight with Jon Jones.
“That’s off the table now, the Alex Pereira fight at heavyweight or any other weight, really,” Aspinall said.
“I guess [Jones] could still fight him at light heavyweight, but it wouldn’t be for a title.
“Jon, there’s only one thing to do, mate. Sign the contract and let’s get a date going.
“We seen last night, Dana White was talking [about] everything is now done on Jon’s side.
“The UFC now have to find a date, venue, place, and location.
“So, we are waiting for that. We’ve got some good news coming soon, hopefully.
Dana White provides Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall update
Dana White has always been ‘100 percent’ confident that Jones vs Aspinall will happen in 2025.
On Saturday night, the UFC boss provided a positive update that suggested a deal is getting closer.
“Listen, Jon Jones definitely wants to fight,” White said during the UFC 313 post-fight press conference.
“Just when and where is what we’re working on now.
“I’m very confident that fight happens [in the summer].
The promotion is set to host their 13th annual International Fight Week this coming June with the monumental week headlined by UFC 317, with the UFC potentially targeting that date for the huge heavyweight fight.
