The UFC 313 main event result between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira was controversial to say the least.
Fans and pundits scored the light heavyweight title fight straight down the middle, with the super-tight rounds three and five swinging odds in favor of either fighter. It doesn’t matter now, that Ankalaev defeated Pereira to steal the throne, but it hasn’t stopped the heated rivalries between fans.
Caught in the crossfire is UFC 313 commentator and popular MMA pundit Daniel Cormier, who has been blasted for alleged biased commentary during the fight – something he vehemently denies.

Daniel Cormier snubs ‘bad’ UFC fans for saying he had biased UFC 313 commentary
Following his appearance at UFC 313, MMA fans have dragged Cormier on X, accusing ‘DC’ of being either pro-Pereira or pro-Ankalaev.
“Disappointing commentary by [Cormier],” one user wrote. Bro glazed Pereira the whole night.”
Another wrote, “I hate your commentary. Your bias for any Dagestan fighter is palpable.”
Cormier took the time to respond to his trolls, calling out their hypocrisy in a message on X.
“It’s so funny because you’re saying that [Pereira bias] I was getting this,” Cormier said, sharing an image of users accusing him of being pro-Ankalaev. “You guys are so bad.”
The former double-champion is often criticized for alleged unprofessionalism, such as forgetting or mispronouncing fighter names or losing focus when being too jovial on the broadcast. His fellow team member Dominick Cruz has even blasted him for a lack of preparation.
When Daniel Cormier confronted Dominick Cruz for insulting his commentary
Cormier infamously confronted Cruz for disparaging his live commentary skills during an interview in 2021. Cruz admitted he usually muted Cormier’s commentary because he doesn’t do his homework.
This culminated in a heated discussion with Cruz, which Michael Bisping had to break up.
