‘Dead serious’… Dana White reacts to FBI chief wanting UFC fighters to train special agents

Dana White was fielding questions about the FBI after UFC 313.

After watching Alex Pereira lose his light heavyweight title to Magomed Ankalaev at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night, the UFC boss headed backstage for a post-fight press conference.

Naturally, he talked up a potential rematch between Pereira and Ankalaev before one reporter took him off topic by asking about the UFC potentially working with the FBI.

Kash Patel, who is the United States’ primary federal law enforcement agency’s director, was in attendance at UFC 313 after recently teasing a working relationship with Dana White and co.

Dana White details ‘serious’ UFC-FBI talks

In recent days, White has been inundated with calls from fighters wanting to work with the FBI.

Patel caused a stir when he discussed using the UFC to help sharpen the combat and conditioning skills of FBI agents.

“After he said that, my phone blew up,” the MMA mogul revealed after UFC 313.

“You know, everybody wants to be the trainers of the FBI now

“I’ve got everybody hitting me up. But he’s dead serious about that.

“I talked about it tonight, he’s dead serious.

“So, we’ll see how that starts to come together.”

Justin Gaethje offers his services

Patel is a longtime friend of prominent MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz, who looks after Justin Gaethje.

‘The Highlight’ picked up a unanimous decision win over Rafael Fiziev in the UFC 313 co-headliner.

Earlier in the week, he expressed a desire to get involved if the UFC teams up with the FBI.

“I think there’s much more skilled people, but I’ve got no kids, no wife, so if he needs somebody to go out there and serve some justice, I would love to be a part of that team,” Gaethje told TMZ Sports.

“I think if they’re in a hand to hand combat situation, s— has gone wrong. These guys have guns and they shoot pretty damn good. That’s the first option, but obviously if you’re clearing houses and s— you’re going to run into some situations like that. I mean, I would love to be part of, any part of that.

“I love representing this country. I can’t wait to fly this flag walking to the octagon. It’s been a while since I’ve been proud to be an American. We’re back there. I’m excited to represent this country and anytime anybody at that position needs my help I’m more than willing.”
