‘I’m coming’… Jiri Prochazka sends message to Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev ahead of UFC 313 title fight

Jiri Prochazka will be keeping an extremely close eye on the UFC 313 main event between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev.

This Saturday evening, Alex Pereira will make the fourth defense of his light heavyweight title when he finally takes on patient number one contender, Magomed Ankalaev.

The anticipation for their title fight has become palpable over fight week as the rivalry has heated up with both Pereira and Ankalaev sending each other warnings.

Although ‘Poatan’ is the underdog on the betting line, several of his former foes are picking Pereira to remain champion, despite it being potentially the toughest fight of his career thus far.

Jiri Prochazka sends Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev a final message

Although Pereira has only defended his title three times so far, he has the chance to smash a record set by Jon Jones, for the least amount of days between four title defenses.

The Brazilian won the vacant title against Jiri Prochazka, later defending it against the former champion at UFC 303 in a big rematch.

Since then, Prochazka has returned to the win column with a big win over former champion, Jamahal Hill, showcasing that he could still be a threat at light heavyweight.

Following his win over ‘Sweet Dreams’, Prochazka insisted he could beat Pereira in a trilogy fight, which garnered a reaction from Pereira.

With the Czech fighter hopeful of being considered to fight for the title next, he will be keeping a keen eye on the UFC 313 main event, and has sent a final message to the champion and contender.

“Hello everyone, fight day is here for us here in the Czech Republic, it’s tomorrow morning. So, I wish you a great fight, both of you guys, and don’t forget, I’m coming. Let’s go for that!” Prochazka stated in a video on his Instagram.

Alex Pereira could move up to heavyweight following UFC 313

Although Prochazka is hopeful of a trilogy fight against the 37-year-old if he defeats Ankalaev, rumors continue to swirl regarding a potential move up to heavyweight for Pereira.

Earlier this week, UFC boss, Dana White provided an update on Jon Jones, claiming that the heavyweight champion could potentially return to the Octagon this summer to take on Tom Aspinall.

And with that, White also revealed that the winner of Jones vs Aspinall could end up challenging Pereira, as the Brazilian would be looking to make UFC history by becoming the first fighter to win a title in three different weight classes.
