‘So impressive’… Joe Rogan recalls attending Dana White’s unique 40th birthday party

Joe Rogan has revealed the odd but ‘impressive’ thing that happened at Dana White’s 40th birthday party.

The legendary commentator recently celebrated the 27th anniversary of his first show with the UFC.

Joe Rogan was around several years before Dana White and the Fertitta Brothers came along in 2001.

Since then, the two men have formed a firm friendship that has withstood the test of time and MMA’s premier promotion transforming from a bizarre new fight league to a company worth $21.4 billion after its merger with the WWE.

Joe Rogan recalls Dana White’s 40th birthday party

Rogan’s most recent podcast guest was the lead singer of The Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan.

Their almost three-hour conversation quickly got around to private gigs and how awkward they can be.

At this point, Rogan remembered a rock band showed up at White’s 40th birthday party in 2009

What could’ve been an awkward moment became an epic treat for everyone who attended the bash.

“I saw Stone Temple Pilots,” Rogan said. “They played Dana White’s 40th birthday party.

“There was no one in the room other than UFC employees. They put on a show like it was a f—— sold out arena. I mean, full blast! They didn’t go through the motions at all. It was a phenomenal show. [Dana] paid them a lot of money.

“They were so professional. It was so impressive. And because they were so powerful on stage, everyone started paying attention because it kind of broke out in the middle of this party.”

Joe Rogan offered chance to break the internet with Dana White

The UFC CEO hasn’t been on Rogan’s super-popular podcast for well over a decade.

Still, he’s found himself linked with a return to JRE after Rogan recently mocked one of his rivals.

The veteran UFC commentator made the mistake of mentioning Oscar De La Hoya, who has been embroiled in a bitter feud with White for years and is “a little off the rails these days,” according to Rogan.

‘Golden Boy’ responded by offering Rogan a chance to break the internet by conducting a joint interview with him and White.

“Joe, I’m off the rails, really? Alright, let’s take a look at your evolution over the last fifteen years,” De La Hoya said in a video shared on his Instagram page.

“Joe, it must be in your contract to say ill on me and not say one nice word about me… Bro, stop being petty. You refuse to put me on your podcast when the majority of your content is MMA or boxing centered.

“I mean, I get it, Daddy Dana will not let you have me on the podcast, [so] let me propose something.

“This will be the highest-rated show you’ll ever do… Have me and your daddy Dana on the podcast together. You can moderate the podcast, so two against one. And I’m fine with that because I’m an open book.”
