Jalin Turner is looking to get his MMA career back on track at UFC 313.
The lightweight contender will face an up-and-coming prospect, Ignacio Bahamondes, on Saturday night.
Bahamondes has a spinning kick knockout on his UFC record, but he’s never fought at Jalin Turner‘s level.
‘The Tarantula’ put together a five-fight win streak made up entirely of stoppages to become a 155lb star before his career fell apart as he lost three of his next four fights inside the Octagon.

Jalin Turner’s walk off KO attempt badly backfired
Split decisions against Dan Hooker and Mateusz Gamrot are easier to deal with than Turner’s last loss.
It’s a fight he should’ve won after badly dropping in Renato Moicano at the end of the first round.
Turner attempted to score a walk off knockout, but veteran referee Herb Dean refused to step in.
The 29-year-old American looked at the official and implored him to stop the fight as Moicano wobbled back to his feet – but ‘Money’ was given the chance to survive the final 16 seconds and make it to round two.
In the second stanza, Moicano took Turner to the floor and pounded him with strikes to score a TKO win.
It was an incredible comeback that almost certainly wouldn’t have happened if Turner didn’t play with his food.
Jalin Turner explains why he walked off at UFC 300
Two fights before meeting Moicano, Turner sent Hooker to the hospital after their three-round brawl.
Next up, Turner scored a vicious knockout win over King Green, which was marred by an awfully late stoppage.
In the aftermath of UFC 300, Turner admitted his failure to finish Moicano was born out of a desire to not inflict any extra damage than he needed to.
“My conscience kind of kicked in a little bit mid-fight,” he said on the Jaxxon podcast.
“The backlash I got from that [Green KO], and I was like, ‘Dang!’ My conscience really kicked in the fight.
“Even before the fight, I didn’t like fully like get to this, ‘I gotta like kill this dude’ instinct.”
