Conor McGregor drops major hint about comeback fight as he shares new training footage

Conor McGregor continues to tease a potential move to bare-knuckle boxing.

The former dual-weight UFC champion hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July 2021 – but he’s been fully fit and begging for a comeback date for the past year.

More recently, Conor McGregor has flirted with the idea of crossing over to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship [BKFC].

‘Notorious’ is a co-owner of BKFC, and excited about the idea of taking off the gloves for a scrap.

Conor McGregor shares new training footage

McGregor has two fights left on his UFC deal, but he insists that won’t stop his bare-knuckle debut.

On Friday night, the MMA legend suggested he was training for a potential BKFC fight.

McGregor posted footage of him working on boxing combinations without gloves to his Instagram story.

The 36-year-old followed that up with a video of him punching a heavy bag for the camera.

McGregor also posted several pictures from his gloveless workout and tagged the BKFC Instagram page.

It’s clear he’s trying to build hype for a bare-knuckle comeback that seems unlikely due to his UFC ties.

Fans continue to impatiently wait for UFC CEO Dana White to announce McGregor’s return bout.

Dustin Poirier won’t write off Conor McGregor

Poirier is 2-1 up against McGregor after sharing a bitter three-fight rivalry with the controversial MMA icon.

The former interim UFC lightweight champion recently accused McGregor of being ‘addicted to the limelight‘ before giving a surprisingly nice answer when asked if his old rival can make an unlikely comeback.

“I’d love to talk down, talk trash on Conor, but if anybody can put it all together and come back this guy can,” Poirier told Outta Pocket.

“If he can find that passion and that fire and put it together. I’m not saying anybody can, but this guy can.

“He’s special. He has something special, but only he knows when he looks in the mirror if he can really do it again.

“But if he believes it, I believe he could.”
