Jamahal Hill set to face another KO artist in UFC Kansas City main event

Jamahal Hill is ready for another blockbuster encounter, when he goes head-to-head with a man capable of rendering him unconscious with one single shot.

With ambitions of regaining his throne, the former light heavyweight champion is jumping right back in the deep end.

With Hill left distraught after his loss to Jiri Prochazka back in January, he’s hoping to produce a big performance at UFC Kansas.

However, in order to claim the victory, the American will have to navigate his way through a minefield.

Jamahal Hill will fight Khalil Rountree in UFC Kansas main event

On April 26, inside the T-Mobile Center in Kansas, USA, Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree will go to war in a scrap destined to excite.

The pair of light heavyweight stars are renowned for their fearsome power, meaning the bout could end at any given second.

While scoring a victory is paramount for Hill, it’s just as vital for ‘The War Horse’, who, at 36, doesn’t have much time left to reach his dream.

In his last outing, Rountree produced a valiant effort against Alex Pereira, but still fell significantly short of the mark.

Despite the Californian doing everything in his power to deter his rival, there was little he could do, as ‘Poatan’ battered him around the cage for four rounds before ultimately securing the stoppage.

Therefore, when ‘Sweet Dreams’ and Rountree finally go toe-to-toe, they’ll both know that this is a fight they simply can’t afford to lose.

While Hill is determined to win back his belt, claiming redemption over Pereira is equally as important to him.

Following their clash at UFC 300, the pair have failed to settle their differences, with the MMA stars still firing shots at each other to this day.

They even engaged in a heated back-and-forth at the UFC Performance Institute.

However, Pereira’s anger towards Hill was exhibited the most, when he mocked him, following his recent KO loss.
