Daniel Cormier has reminisced about his fight with an MMA icon, in which he simply couldn’t do anything wrong.
During his esteemed UFC career, the American proved himself to be one of the greatest competitors of all time, dominating opponents with his formidable wrestling skills.
However, of all the performances he put together, one stands out as the best.
Cormier has even gone as far as to claim that he entered the flow state.

Daniel Cormier entered the flow state against Dan Henderson
On May 24, 2014, at UFC 173, inside the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, USA, Daniel Cormier went head-to-head with Dan Henderson.
And while the former Pride champion was undeniably an intimidating individual, he was no match for ‘DC’, with the Olympian launching him across the cage en route to a third-round victory via rear naked choke.
During an episode of Funky and The Champ, the two-weight world champion reminisced: “I got in the flow state one time. When I was fighting Dan Henderson, we punch into the clinch, I hit him with a step around, throw a Polish lateral drop — it was crazy.
“I get on a high crotch, and then I flip him through the air. Then, he gets up, and I foot-sweep him from behind. It was like I was in the flow state. Everything was working.”
Despite Cormier recently getting into a verbal altercation with Michael Bisping, for the most part, in retirement, he’s settled into the role of being a popular broadcaster.
But make no mistake, at the peak of his powers, he was a ruthless fighter.
