Before starting his career in MMA, Brock Lesnar had already built a name for himself after becoming one of the biggest stars in WWE and even signing for an NFL team.
After rising to stardom in the WWE in mid-2002, Brock Lesnar left the WWE after signing with NFL franchise, the Minnesota Vikings.
Despite not receiving a contract offer from the Vikings, Lesnar was offered a life-changing NFL deal which he subsequently turned down.
After rejecting a deal to compete in NFL Europe, Lesnar returned to Wrestling before deciding to take his talents into the world of MMA.

Brock Lesnar protected his NFL teammates with one specific MMA move
Whilst competing in American Football, Lesnar didn’t have a background in MMA but had a well-documented collegiate wrestling career.
During training camp with the Vikings, the Minnesota outfit welcomed the Kansas City Chiefs to their practice facility for a pre-season game.
During the game against the Chiefs, Vikings’ Quarterback, Daunte Culpepper was blasted by one of the Kansas defenders, which didn’t sit well with Lesnar.
Teammate, Nate Burleson has revealed exactly what the former WWE star did to the defender during the next play.
“You remember Brock Lesnar, from the WWE, he came out and somebody cheapshotted Daunte Culpepper late and Brock was like, ‘Who did it?’, the next play, he went and suplexed the guy.
“Different type of nasty but he picked up a grown man after the play, it was a royal rumble, Minnesota vs Kansas City during training camp, that was a nasty suplex on the football field,” Burleson said on The NFL Up.
When Lesnar returned to the WWE some years later, he became well known for his blistering suplexes and even had a catchphrase, ‘Suplex City’.
When Brock Lesnar shoved Daniel Cormier during a post-fight face off
Lesnar made his UFC debut back in 2008, coming up short against Frank Mir. Later that year, the former wrestler was afforded a title shot against Randy Couture, successfully dethroning him to become the new UFC heavyweight champion.
A year later, he exacted revenge over Mir, knocking him out in round two of their rematch. After losing his title to Cain Velasquez and then getting finished by Alistair Overeem, Lesnar left the UFC and returned to the WWE.
In 2016, he shockingly made his return to the UFC when he took on Mark Hunt. Despite winning the fight, the result was overturned after Lesnar failed drug tests.
However, in 2018, after Daniel Cormier knocked out Stipe Miocic to become the UFC double champion, Lesnar made his way into the cage and faced off with Cormier before shoving him halfway across the cage.
Unfortunately, the two never went on to fight in the UFC and Lesnar never made his comeback to the promotion after years of rumors.
