Henry Cejudo hasn’t bounced back from his fight-ending eye injury several days after UFC Seattle.
The former dual-weight champion had hoped to snap his two-fight losing skid against Song Yadong this past weekend – but their main event matchup ended in a technical decision after an accidental eye poke.
Henry Cejudo was seeing double before being pulled out of the fight and suffering a third straight loss.
Now, he’s provided an update on his injury, which has left him with some worrying symptoms.

Henry Cejudo is still seeing double
After being checked over at a local hospital, Cejudo claimed Yadong’s eye poke left him with diplopia, soft tissue damage, and a corneal abrasion.
On Tuesday, he provided a further update on what the doctors said about his injury and the impact it is having on him while filming the Pound 4 Pound podcast he shares with former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
“Things are still blurry in my left eye,” Cejudo said
“I’m still seeing double. Even as I’m watching the fight right now on the screen, my eye is still not good.
“Luckily, I saw the ophthalmologist today, dude, and this is what she said, ‘If that pinky would have hit you in the pupil, you would be blind.’
“I have a dent in my eye. It freaking ruptured. I don’t know the exact term, but it’s damaged.”
Eye poke cost Henry Cejudo $150,000
Cejudo has called for a rematch and some rule changes in the aftermath of his controversial loss.
The 38-year-old opened up about the financial impact a bad referee call can have on UFC fighters.
“That just cost me $150,000 right there,” Cejudo added
“Do you know what I’m saying? I’ve got kids. That is the prize money for me. It’s not just a f——ing win.
“That’s the same reason why I decided to go back [into the fight].”
Dana White shut down the idea of booking an immediate Cejudo vs Yadong rematch after UFC Seattle.
‘Triple C’ is pushing the UFC CEO to change his tune, but if that doesn’t happen, he wants to face a former champion instead.
“I know that [Petr] Yan said that May was open – I’d love that fight with Petr Yan,” Cejudo said.
“We could scrap it out. If my eye is going to get better then I’ll be ready by May and Song’s already had his shot at Petr Yan, so give me Petr Yan, dude.”
