‘I heard what you said’… Henry Cejudo sends message to Dana White after UFC Seattle

Henry Cejudo has issued a response to Dana White following his disappointing loss to Song Yadong this past Saturday at UFC Seattle.

The former UFC double champion returned to the Octagon this past Saturday as Cejudo attempted to snap a two-fight losing streak when he clashed with Song Yadong in the main event.

The fight ended extremely unceremoniously in the fourth round after the doctor deemed the Olympic gold medalist unable to continue after Yadong caught Cejudo with a bad eye poke.

Despite picking up the win, Yadong was left unhappy after picking up the biggest scalp of his 15-fight UFC tenure and asked for a rematch against Cejudo.

Henry Cejudo sends a message to Dana White after post-fight comments

Although both bantamweights asked for a rematch, UFC CEO, Dana White shut down the idea when he was asked about it during the post-fight press conference.

And with that, Yadong went on to callout Sean O’Malley claiming that if he isn’t able to rematch ‘Triple C’ then he would like a fight against someone higher ranked than him.

Not long removed from his brutal loss, Cejudo provided an update on his injury, stating that he has diplopia, soft tissue damage in the eye, as well as corneal abrasion.

However, he didn’t only provide an update on his health, the former double champion also sent a message to Dana White, imploring him to reconsider both fighters’ appeal for a rematch.

“Dana White, I heard what you said but I encourage you to reconsider,” Cejudo began in a post on his Instagram.

“I will say this, Dana White I know you said you’re not interested in the rematch, let’s run it back. There were still two rounds left, dude, the pace was picking up, he was hurt, I was hurt, dude, and we were scrapping. I think we should run it back.

“Dana, I respect you I hope we can run this back with Song, and let’s do it soon… I think we should run it back,” Cejudo continued.

Henry Cejudo wants to have a conversation with Jason Herzog after stoppage

Although the eye poke happened near the end of round three, the referee in charge, Jason Herzog made both fighters come out for round four and started the round before quickly halting it.

Had Herzog not done that, the fight would’ve been ruled a no contest or a disqualification, depending on whether he deemed the eye poke accidental or not.

Having said that, Cejudo has admitted that he would like to have a conversation with Herzog to understand why he didn’t deduct a point from the 27-year-old, considering he committed several fouls in the fight.

“Should there have been a point deducted, 100% man… It’s not Song’s fault, I’m not p—– at him but I will say for Jason Herzog, I’m curious to talk to you, man. I got kicked in the balls a couple of times and then eye poked, like, bro, something has to be done,” Cejudo claimed.
