Conor McGregor shares one-word reaction to Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk reuniting

Two former rivals exchanged pleasantries whilst being sat next to each other at ringside.

Conor McGregor often makes his presence known at some of the biggest combat sports events of the year but ‘The Mac’ wasn’t in town this past Saturday night.

Whilst McGregor has been known to keep feuds alive, two former rivals gathered to watch one of the biggest nights of the year for boxing.

The Last Crescendo certainly lived up to the hype in Riyadh and some of the biggest stars in boxing were in attendance to watch the night unfold.

Though Daniel Dubois unfortunately withdrew from his fight with Joseph Parker, both Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk had a keen interest in this fight as both men approach the final stages of their careers.

Conor McGregor reacts to videos of Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk at ringside

Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk met in two huge back-to-back fights for the heavyweight division in 2021 and 2022.

The Ukrainian came out on top on both occasions and whilst tensions spilled over following their rematch, there is now nothing but respect between the two men.

A video posted by Ring Magazine during last night’s action showed a conversation between them as Usyk seemingly broke down some footwork techniques, speaking about your head not leaning over your knee.

It’s always great to see two former rivals be on great terms with one another, especially in the case where they only went head-to-head several years ago.

MMA superstar Conor McGregor gave a short and sweet reaction to the video by replying to the post with ‘The Notorious’ agreeing that it was a welcome sight to see even this one small exchange.

Conor McGregor has some rivalries that remain heated

Both Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua are known for usually being very respectful opponents so it’s not surprising to see them sat side-by-side to take in a great night of boxing.

Conor McGregor isn’t necessarily the same given some of the intense rivalries that he has had throughout his career.

There’s certainly respect between him and the likes of Jose Aldo and Eddie Alvarez but with other former opponents, things became too personal.

It doesn’t look like we will ever get the same kind of interaction that Joshua and Usyk had between McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov or Dustin Poirier but that won’t keep either party awake at night.
