UFC featherweight Jean Silva solidified himself as a star with a one-punch knockout at UFC Seattle.
Jean Silva is knocking on the door of having the UFC’s longest active knockout streak after his brutal one-punch blow at UFC Seattle.
Silva and Melsik Baghdasaryan helped ramp up the action on the UFC Seattle main card on Saturday at Climate Pledge Arena. Silva entered UFC Seattle on an 11-fight winning streak with three consecutive knockout victories.
After a slow start against Baghdasaryan, it didn’t take long for Silva to earn another highlight reel finish at UFC Seattle.
With about a minute left in the first round, after taking some nasty kicks from Baghdasaryan, Silva sent his opponent collapsing to the canvas with a right hand. After initially signaling to the referee that Baghdasaryan was out, the fight continued for a few more seconds as Silva landed some brutal ground-and-pound strikes to secure the win.
Silva is tied with Alex Pereira and Carlos Prates for second on the longest active UFC knockout streaks list. Fellow featherweight Steve Garcia holds the top spot with five consecutive knockouts.

UFC fans and fighters go ballistic after Jean Silva extends knockout streak
Here’s what UFC fighters and fans had to say about Silva’s streak-extending knockout.
“Ahahahahaha Jean Silva told the referee to stop the fight,” UFC lightweight Renato Moicano said.
“Silva has some serious power….” UFC flyweight Cody Durden reacted.
“Jean Silva is proper psychopath,” one fan wrote.
“That was a posterizing!”
“Was over in the staredown.”
“Bad mf.”
“Topuria moved up because he knew Jean Silva was coming.”
“Real deal.”
“THAT. WAS. NUTS.”
“Three daps followed by a KO.”
“Sent bro to another reality.”
Silva, Prates, and rising UFC middleweight Caio Borralho are a part of one of the top teams in the world at Fighting Nerds. All three of them could fight for a UFC title at some point in their careers.
Jean Silva adds to blockbuster night at UFC Seattle
Silva entered UFC Seattle off of two finishes in two weeks in 2024. He knocked out Charles Jourdain with one punch at UFC 303 before stopping Drew Dober in a short-notice lightweight bout at UFC Denver last July.
Silva is far from the only highlight finisher at UFC Seattle. All seven preliminary fights finished inside the distance, and Modestas Bukauskas started the action with a wild knockout over a top prospect.
UFC bantamweight mainstay Ricky Simón earned a ‘Knockout of the Year’ contender when he knocked Javid Basharat in his first UFC fight in his home state. He snapped a three-fight losing streak.
