UFC light heavyweight Alonzo Menifield suffered one of the nastiest foot injuries you’ll ever see at UFC Seattle.
Alonzo Menifield‘s split decision win at UFC Seattle came at a steep price after slicing his foot in the cage in his light heavyweight bout.
Menifield and UFC debutee Julius Walker kicked things off on the main card with a back-and-forth battle at UFC Seattle. It was a grueling pace between the two light heavyweights, who appeared exhausted at the midway point of the three-round affair.
Menifield limited a late Walker rally to get the win on two of the three judges’ scorecards. It was the first professional loss of Walker’s career after a 6-0 start.
But unfortunately, Menifield had a massive setback against Walker despite leaving Climate Pledge Arena with the victory.

Alonzo Menifield’s UFC Seattle win came at a steep price
As shared by UFC CEO Dana White on his Instagram story, Menifield mangled his foot and sliced it open during an uncertain sequence in his UFC Seattle fight. In the graphic image below, you can see a nasty laceration between two of Menfield’s toes.
Menifield was able to walk out of the cage without issue, and the damage to Menifield’s foot wasn’t revealed until White’s social media post. It’s the latest example of UFC freak injuries after Tatiana Suarez cut her leg open against Zhang Weili at UFC 312.
But on a positive note, Menifield snapped a two-fight losing skid at UFC Seattle by outpointing Walker. Before UFC Seattle, Menifield lost back-to-back knockouts at the hands of Carlos Ulberg and Azamat Murzakanov.
After suffering the nasty foot injury at UFC Seattle, it’s uncertain how long Menifield will be sidelined. But either way, he’s riding a lot of momentum after his performance.
UFC Seattle featured wild knockouts, rising stars, and a gruesome injury
