‘His own worst enemy’… Henry Cejudo reveals the one Song Yadong weakness he intends to exploit at UFC Seattle

Henry Cejudo is adamant that he’s spotted a hole in Song Yadong’s game, which he wholeheartedly believes he can use against him.

Since the announcement of the fight, the Mexican-American has exuded confidence.

Cejudo hasn’t shied away from trash-talking, firing shots at Yadong, and openly discussing how he intends to secure the victory.

But on Saturday evening, the verbals stop, and ‘Triple C’ has to get in the octagon and prove he still has what it takes to operate at the top level of the sport.

Henry Cejudo says Song Yadong could run out of energy

Song Yadong is an absolute wrecking machine, with devastating power and a formidable fight IQ.

With that in mind, he’ll look to unleash his fury when he collides with Henry Cejudo in the main event of UFC Seattle on Saturday evening.

The Chinese warrior often starts quickly, looking to blitz out his opponents, which his rival believes could play into his hands.

During the UFC Seattle Media Day, Cejudo explained: “I’m 11 years his elder. He’s an explosive fighter —really good at countering — he’s a guy that can shut your lights out with one punch.

“I think his greatest gift is also his worst enemy — that gas tank can go straight to empty.

“So, I love the fact that they’ve given me a younger fighter. I love the fact that my back is against the wall; there’s a chip on my shoulder. I love the fact that I’m an underdog.

“These are the moments where I shine. I appreciate all of it.”

Henry Cejudo overcame adversity to beat Marlon Moraes to win UFC gold

Cejudo’s belief that he can overcome an early storm from Yadong, is well founded, considering what he had to go through to win the bantamweight world title.

After conquering the featherweight division, he stepped up a weight-class to challenge for 135-pound supremacy.

In the first-round, Marlon Moraes gave him all he could handle, but eventually, Cejudo came out on top.
