Jean Silva has made an enormous splash since arriving in the UFC, reminiscent of that of Khamzat Chimaev.
Back in 2020, ‘Borz’ made his debut in the world’s premier mixed martial arts promotion, quickly proving himself as one of the most terrifying competitors in the sport.
In the space of just ten days, he annihilated both John Phillips and Rhys McKee via a brabo choke and ground and pound, respectively, in performances that sent shockwaves through the MMA community.
Fast forward five years, Chimaev is firing shots at Dricus Du Plessis, as he gears up to fight for the middleweight world championship.

Jean Silva finished two opponents in 14 days
After making a successful debut in the UFC last January against Westin Wilson, Jean Silva had to wait until June 29 to get his next shot inside the octagon.
Due to missing weight, the Brazilian fought Charles Jourdain at 147.5 lbs, in a clash in which he had to overcome some adversity.
While Khamzat Chimaev is a better grappler than Silva, The Fighting Nerds representative certainly carries more power in his hands.
After being wrestled against the cage, Silva managed to make just enough distance to land a thunderous uppercut to finish Jourdain.
And while most would take some time out to enjoy the victory, just 14 days later, the MMA star returned to the cage, this time against Drew Dober.
The American produced a valiant effort, but Silva was eventually crowned the winner, after Dober couldn’t continue due to a cut above his eye.
The spectacular contest earned Fight of the Night.

Jean Silva has a big fight scheduled for UFC Seattle
Riding a wave of momentum, Silva is hoping for a massive performance when he clashes with Melsik Baghdasaryan at UFC Seattle.
With his sights firmly set on earning a place in the top 15 of the featherweight division, the warrior is determined to make an impact at the Climate Pledge Arena on Saturday night.
However, his opponent, who’s now 3-1 in the promotion, certainly isn’t going to go down without a fight.
