Jonathan Haggerty has lived an incredible life, from winning world titles in two sports, to being attacked by a wild animal.
Tomorrow night, the Brit will return to action in his eagerly-anticipated comeback fight at ONE Championship 171, inside the Lusail Sports Arena in Qatar.
In a match-up that looks guaranteed to create fireworks, Haggerty will attempt to defend his bantamweight kickboxing world championship against Wei Rui.
And while his Chinese rival will attempt to take him out, it’s not the first time the warrior has had to deal with a venomous opponent.
Sheesh: Combat sports legend set to come out of retirement to fight in ONE Championship

Jonathan Haggerty was shocked when a snake jumped at him
In his phenomenal career, Jonathan Haggerty has proven himself as one of the best combat sports athletes on the planet, picking up belts in both Muay Thai and kickboxing.
The 28-year-old’s performances have been so impressive that Demetrious Johnson has told Haggerty that he’d like him to move over to MMA and emulate Alex Pereira.
In order to get to such a high level, the Londoner has had to put in the work, previously living in Thailand for nine months, to hone his craft. And it’s fair to say he found himself in a couple of insane situations.
In an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow, he confessed: “The craziest thing that happened to me is probably getting hit by a motorbike. I had a snake jump at me from the top step. My brother and I were walking upstairs to the villa and there was a snake staring at us, and it just jumped straight towards me, so that was probably one of the craziest experiences.”
Luckily, Thailand isn’t usually that frightening, with Haggerty recently forming a friendship with a monkey.
The legend chuckled: “That’s my little friend. I’m going to bring him home. I was at the cash machine, and I saw some guy with it on his shoulder.
“I thought, let me go in the shop and say hello to it. I went in there, and he put him on my shoulder. It was good, to be fair. I need to get one of them.”
