Alexander Volkanovski gave his fans a treat by sharing his sparring footage with Aljamain Sterling.

The pair of former world champions laced up the gloves and exchanged punches in a clip that showcased both their talent.

With Volkanovski telling Ilia Topuria to ‘Stop wasting time’, the rounds in the bank, will undoubtedly do him the world of good if he does get his shot at redemption against the Spanish-Georgian.

And for Sterling, the opportunity served as a brilliant chance to enhance his game before returning to action.

Alexander Volkanovski and Aljamain Sterling have proven their quality beyond doubt, with both of them winning a UFC world title.

Channeling the old adage, ‘Iron sharpens iron’, the pair reveled in the opportunity to train together.

In a video uploaded to his Instagram page, Volkanovski shared a snippet of what went down during their rounds.

The icons initially touched gloves, before attempting fakes to throw the other off their game.

Sterling then started exhibiting his flashy kicks, landing to the head and body, before ‘The Great’ caught his leg.

The clip finished without showing everything, leaving fans’ imaginations running wild with what may have transpired.

Reacting to the upload, ‘The Funk Master’ tweeted: “Such a great experience working with the champ. And a great dude as well out of the training room.”

Throughout his career, Volkanovksi has earned his reputation for being a kind human being. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Sterling had such a good time training with him.

Another legend, who can claim to have had an extremely positive interaction with the Aussie, is none other than his countryman and former boxing world champion Jason Moloney.

After picking up a huge victory on the George Kambosos vs Devin Haney undercard, ‘Mayhem’ met the UFC star face-to-face.

And Moloney couldn’t believe what happened during his interaction with Volkanovski.
