Doctor stops Nazim Sadykhov vs Ismael Bonfim
After watching his brother win during the prelims, Ismael Bonfim tried to make it 2-0 for his family.
8-1-1 Russian fighter Nazim Sadykhov stopped him from doing that with a sensational head kick.
The 30-year-old landed a picture-perfect question mark kick to his opponent’s face in round one.
Bonfim was left cut and blinking badly by the shot – but he managed to survive the five-minute frame.
The cut was way below his eye, so it didn’t seem like something that would lead to a doctor’s stoppage.
However, that is exactly what happened in between rounds after a conversation in Bonfim’s corner.
Viral footage appears to show the Brazilian saying he can see fine before the fight is called off.
Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier voiced his confusion during the UFC Vegas 102 broadcast.
Ultimately, some fans decided a ‘massive misunderstanding’ led to Bonfim being incorrectly pulled from the fight.

Sadykhov’s spectacular performance shouldn’t be overlooked due to the strange end to his fight.
During his post-fight chat with Cormier, he explained that the damage-causing shot he landed was something he had been working on.
“Those kicks, the left head kicks, was something I’ve been working on all camp,” Sadykhov said.
“I noticed when he exchanges, when he loads big, he drops his hands just like that and I knew the head kicks would be there. I set [it] up with a few body kicks, a few head kicks, and eventually, it landed.
“For me, the fight was just getting started. I was just starting my fight. So, I don’t know what they are going to say about this. I don’t know if they stopped it because of a cut or what.
“But let me tell you something, I’ll mix it up with any lightweight on the planet.
“I am the best. I’m coming for that belt regardless of what anyone thinks or says.”
