Ahead of his long-awaited return to the octagon, former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo is trying his hand at something new – professional acting.
MMA fans have watched various former UFC fighters come and go from the silver screen; albeit some being far more talented and successful than others.
Quinton Jackson famously smashed his role as B. A. Baracus in ‘The A-Team’, Georges St-Pierre went toe-to-toe with Captain America in ‘The Winter Soldier’, and Conor McGregor threw down on the ‘Road House’ remake.
Now, it’s time for ‘Triple C’ to shine, revealing on his latest training camp VLOG that he’s set to make his professional acting debut alongside Entourage’s Vinny Chase, aka Adrian Grenier.

Former UFC champion and actor Henry Cejudo films debut role
Henry Cejudo isn’t just a former UFC double champion, he isn’t just an Olympic champion, or the ‘King of Cringe’ either – he’s also now a professional actor.
“I’m on my way to Austin, Texas, I got a good buddy of mine who’s doing Mike Tyson’s biopic, he’s going to have me in one of his films,” said Cejudo on episode four of All or Nothing.
“I’m going to be one of the thugs, one of the homies in this film with Vinny Chase from Entourage… I’m super stoked, this is going to be my first movie role and I’m super excited. Entourage is one of my favorite shows, so it’ll be cool to hang out with them and have dinner with them tonight.”
Cejudo plays a character called Manuel, with the film’s storyline revolving around a man who loses the pin code to his Bitcoin wallet and must fight to regain control of his stockpile.
“My first role dude, first of many – getting ready to be the thug and villain, so stoked to start something new man,” continued Cejudo from set, who’d love to secure more roles in the future.
“I’ve always saw myself in films, there’s a plan of maybe getting into film and doing some other things,” he teased and from the behind-the-scenes footage shared in the VLOG, it looks like Cejudo more than held his own.
“Henry, who I’ve known for a long time, I’ve always thought with his personality and his composure that he should be an action star,” hailed director Garrett Patten.
“I think he’s going to do amazing, and it should lead into bigger projects and bigger films – Henry’s built for this stuff.
“He’s been tied up fighting for the last 20 years or something, but when that comes to an end, I think there’s another career for him out there.”
Henry Cejudo’s long-awaited return to UFC action set for February 22
Over a year since his last fight, Henry Cejudo is finally set to make his return to action in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Seattle, which takes place in Washington on February 22.
The former double champion faces popular Chinese standout, Song ‘Kung Fu Kid’ Yadong.
Cejudo currently retains the #7 spot in the UFC bantamweight rankings, having dropped a unanimous decision to Merab Dvalishvili in his last bout at UFC 298.
Meanwhile, Yadong sits just one spot below him at #8, suffering his own UD loss at the hands of Petr Yan at UFC 299 last March.
That main event is expected to be a razor-close affair and should be a fantastic end to what’s already shaped up to be one of the better UFC Fight Night cards of the year.
Aside from Cejudo and Yadong, fans can look forward to the likes of Brendan Allen, Anthony Hernandez, Edson Barboza, Curtis Blaydes and Jean Silva.
UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs Yadong goes down live on Saturday, February 22.
