Dillon Danis reignites feud with Super Bowl LIX winner after charity fight offer

The former grappler is still down to throw hands with one of the stars of Sunday night’s game.

Dillon Danis is certainly no stranger to calling people out whether they are fighters, athletes or even just celebrities. Ever since he first started to make a name for himself in the combat sports world as a top grappler and training partner of Conor McGregor, the 31-year-old has talked a big game.

However, there isn’t necessarily a track record for Danis putting his money where his mouth is having made some bold statements in the past about what he would do to some of the best fighters in the world.

When he did finally step back into competition in 2023 for a boxing match with Logan Paul, he was convincingly beaten by the WWE superstar before getting himself disqualified in the sixth round. He’s now set to return for a rebooked clash with KSI on March 29.

But Danis is continuing to acknowledge a feud with an athlete outside of the combat sports circle.

Dillon Danis brings Saquon Barkley feud from 2019 back up following Super Bowl LIX

Saquon Barkley is one of the most talked about athletes in the world right now following Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday night.

In his debut season for the Philadelphia Eagles, Barkley broke a record that has existed since 1998 after he became the record holder for the most rushing yards in one season in NFL history along with becoming a Super Bowl champion.

The 28-year-old running back had previously gone back-and-forth with Dillon Danis over social media all the way back in 2019 where he live tweeted his reactions to Barstool Sports’ Rough N’ Rowdy 10.

Barkley called to fight the controversial fighter all those years ago and now that he’s at the pinnacle of the sporting world, despite having a relatively quiet game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Danis is bringing the callout back into the public eye.

Danis shared a screenshot on his Instagram story of an article from Barstool Sports about their social media exchange back in 2019, writing the following caption:

“Let’s go brother @saquon haha”

Dillon Danis would appear to have his hands full right now

Dillon Danis has been incredibly inactive over the past few years due to several significant factors but that could be set to change.

His boxing match with Logan Paul in October of 2023 was his first competitive bout of any kind since his second MMA fight in Bellator back in 2019 where he submitted Max Humphrey.

Danis now has the option to stay busy with his upcoming fight against KSI in Manchester on X Series 21 and the news that he was drafted by the Global Fight League (GFL) last month.

Should he be a part of the promotion’s first season, which seems like a big ask considering the turnaround he would need to make after his boxing return, Danis certainly won’t be short on options.
