Paddy Pimblett is ready to make a run at lightweight gold in 2025.
‘The Baddy’ cracked the top 15 by choking out Bobby Green at UFC 304 last July – but the only fight he’s had since then was in the gym with his rival Denis Frimpong.
It’s hoped that Paddy Pimblett will return to the Octagon in the near future.
UFC 314, which takes place in Miami on April 12, is the card he is expected to be a part of after recently revealing that his comeback is just ten weeks away.

Paddy Pimblett has a plan
Pimblett recently mapped out his two-fight plan for 2025 during an interview with the Liverpool Echo.
The 30-year-old fan favorite believes a win on the supposed undercard of Ilia Topuria vs Alexander Volkanovski 2 will put him in line for a potential title eliminator.
“I’m hoping to fight on UFC 314 card in Miami,” Pimblett said. “I’ve never been to Miami, so I’m hoping to fight on that. That’s my plan.
“I’ve heard that Illia is headlining the 314 event against Volk, but you don’t know until anything is finalized with the UFC. I’ve been told this and that in the last few weeks and months…we’ll just see what happens.
“I want to fight in Miami and then Abu Dhabi in October. That’s the plan. I hope I can get it. Beat this opponent, a top eight opponent, beat someone in the top four or top five, and then fight for the [lightweight] belt.
“Islam [Makhachev] might be gone by then. He might’ve retired. We’ll see what happens.”
Who will be Paddy Pimblett’s next opponent?
Pimblett has been linked to big-name fights with two UFC legends in the past few weeks.
Michael Chandler has welcomed a potential matchup with the scouser.
However, Dustin Poirier has insisted it’s ‘legends only’ for what will be his MMA retirement bout.
For now, Pimblett advises his fans to ignore online speculation about his next opponent and wait for the UFC to make an official announcement.
He added: “I always tell people to take no notice of those stupid Twitter pages. They do anything for clicks.”
