Michael Bisping and Daniel Cormier almost ended up battling it out in the cage after an argument nearly escalated past the point of return.
In their esteemed careers, ‘The Count’ and ‘DC’ solidified themselves as bona fide UFC legends.
With world championships to their names, the pair have now both retired and segued into commentating roles.
However, while they’re no longer fighting inside the cage, that warrior spirit still very much lives inside them.

Michael Bisping says Daniel Cormier couldn’t take him down
Having represented Team USA at the Olympics, it’s no surprise that Daniel Cormier is adamant that his beloved discipline is integral in MMA.
During the UFC 312: Evening Weigh-In Show, referring to non-wrestlers, the grappler claimed: “If they can’t do the move, they won’t know how to effectively defend it as well.”
Taken aback by the comment, Michael Bisping completely disagreed, voicing his displeasure in a foul-mouthed rant, raging: “Hold on, cage wrestling in a mixed martial arts fight is nothing like actual wrestling on a mat. Callum (his son) is a way better wrestler than me; I will pick him up and slam him on his a–.
“Real wrestlers suck b—-. You bring any of those guys in a cage, unless they learn how to do it in a cage, I will kick their head off. They’re s—.”
Refuting the Englishman’s claims, the American said: “Don’t wrestle double legs; all these guys know how to defend a double leg.”
The two-weight UFC champion pointed at Bisping and asserted: “He can’t defend a single leg.”
Of course, The Count replied: “I can,” to which Cormier fired back: “No, you can’t.”
Tensions then erupted when the Brit challenged the icon to back up his words, saying: “You put me up against the fence, DC; you could not take me down with a single leg even with my bad hips and bad neck.
“Single leg, I could stop you, DC, oh, I could stop you. There’s an octagon right there. I could stop you.”
Rather than taking the former middleweight King up on his offer, the Louisianian just face-palmed, which might’ve been for the best, as the 45-year-old can sometimes let his anger get the better of him when it comes to wrestling, with Cormier confessing that he once almost beat up a rival coach.
Sheesh: Michael Bisping reveals the only celebrity that has left him star-struck
Sean Strickland contradicts Michael Bisping’s ‘bad blood’ assessment ahead of UFC 312
Cormier isn’t the only person who has disagreed with Bisping this week, with Sean Strickland also taking issue with something he said.
Going into Saturday night, the popular analyst made a comment regarding the polarizing fighter’s match-up with Dricus Du Plessis.
And upon hearing the remark Bisping made, Strickland set the record straight.
