Conor McGregor slammed by former boxing world champion following viral clash with Khabib Nurmagomedov fan

Conor McGregor has been called out for his ‘vile’ behavior towards a fan of Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The former dual-weight UFC champion has been at odds with Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team for years – but their rivalry has recently been reignited by a PFL title fight between Usman Nurmagomedov and Paul Hughes.

‘Notorious’ recently clashed with a fan showing support for his nemesis during a trip to Las Vegas. In viral footage, Conor McGregor can seen squaring up to someone after they shout, ‘Let’s go Khabib!’

“I spit in your face and what did you do? Nothing,” the UFC star said before the fracas was broken up.

Carl Froch slams Conor McGregor after watching ‘vulgar’ video

Former super middleweight boxing world champion Carl Froch has never been a big fan of McGregor.

The two combat sports stars have exchanged plenty of mean messages on social media over the years.

So, it’s somewhat unsurprising that ‘The Cobra’ has called out McGregor following his clash with a fan.

“For McGregor to go over to this guy and spit in his face,” Froch said on his YouTube channel.

“What are you doing? Why are you spitting in a grown man’s face? And not only did you spit in his face, he then bragged about it. I mean, what can the guy do about it? He has a go at McGregor and gets took down, choked out, or battered – but then again McGregor is going straight to jail.

“Why is McGregor putting himself in these positions? You’d think he wants to keep his head down.

“Somebody shouts, ‘Khabib!’ He’s allowed to shout Khabib, he’s a Khabib fan. Don’t go over and spit in a man’s face. It’s just vile, it’s wrong and it’s classless. If it was me, you would’ve got a swift right hand straight down the pipe on that stupid chin of yours.

“It’s just out of order, it’s vulgar, and you need to grow up.”

What’s next for Conor McGregor?

McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

As of late, he’s been trying to build hype for a $500 million boxing exhibition bout with Logan Paul.

Unfortunately, his efforts have been for nothing as the crossover fight has been shut down by Dana White, with the UFC boss insisting his biggest star will return to the Octagon during the last few months of 2025.

White seemed less certain about McGregor’s fighting future in the immediate aftermath of UFC Saudi Arabia last weekend.

“I’m not sure when Conor will be back,” he admitted.

Only time will tell if fight fans will ever get to see McGregor return to the UFC Octagon.
