Jason Moloney had an incredible interaction with Alexander Volkanovksi moments after scoring one of the biggest knockout victories of his career.
The pair of formidable fighters have proven themselves as two of the greatest combat athletes in Australian history.
Blessed with ferocious engines and awe-inspiring wills to win, the warriors have scaled the sporting mountain, with ‘The Great’ triumphing over Max Holloway to win the UFC featherweight belt, while ‘Mayhem’ defeated Vincent Astrolabio to capture the WBO bantamweight world title.
With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that the icons have an enormous amount of respect for one another.

Alexander Volkanovski asked Jason Moloney for a photo after he won on the George Kambosos vs Devin Haney undercard
From the moment he first laced-up the gloves, Jason Moloney fell in love with boxing, with the Australian going on a crazy journey to the pinnacle of the sport.
From fighting in Las Vegas, to sparring Vasiliy Lomachenko with his brother, Andrew Moloney, the 34-year-old has many fantastic memories.
However, one of his best anecdotes comes from when Alexander Volkanovski approached him right after he landed a monstrous punch in front of 41,129 passionate fans.
In an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow, the boxer explained: “That was awesome. That was on the undercard of George Kambosos vs Devin Haney. I’d just knocked out Aston Palicte with a really good shot at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, which was a dream come true. I was born and raised in Melbourne and had so many of my friends and family there that night. It was pretty awesome to fight in that venue, it’s a huge football (soccer) stadium, and it was packed.
“I’d just got the knockout, I jumped out of the ring, I was on cloud nine, and then Volk came up and he actually asked me for a photo, which I couldn’t believe.
“All Aussies love Volk and really admire what he’s achieved in the UFC. He got a photo, and I got a photo. It was unreal to meet him. He’s a champion of a bloke, and it was a cool moment in my career.”

Jason Moloney has to fend off snakes in his Australian boxing gym
Moloney doesn’t just have the courage to go toe-to-toe with the best fighters on Earth, but he also has the minerals to remove snakes from his gym.
The ferocious competitor, who has a massive fight against Tenshin Nasukawa coming up on February 24, inside the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, occasionally has to interrupt his sparring sessions to tackle the wild creatures.
However, while terrified of the snakes, Moloney has revealed how he’s used them to pull hilarious pranks on his teammates.
