Michael ‘Venom’ Page made quite an impression in his middleweight debut on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia
In Riyadh this past weekend, the former welterweight contender moved up to 185-pounds in order to put on a fascinating striking matchup against the undefeated Shara Magomedov.
Page’s unique striking dominated the co-main event of the evening as he went on to become the first man to defeat ‘Bullet’, winning all three rounds on two of the scorecards.
After getting his hand raised, ‘MVP’ was honest about not knowing whether he will stay at middleweight for the time being but moving up or down in order to put on the most exciting fights is something that he’s clearly open to, as he proved by taking on a dangerous challenge.
In his post-fight press conference, Michael ‘Venom’ Page planted an idea in the heads of fight fans that they hadn’t even considered in the past by saying that he’d welcome a light heavyweight bout with the former champion, Jiri Prochazka.

Renato Moicano predicts Page would defeat Prochazka
The potential of seeing two of the most dynamic and exciting strikers in the sport collide has got fans excited and UFC lightweight contender Renato Moicano has got a hot take to share.
Despite the fact that when both men are competing in their natural weight classes, there are two divisions between them, ‘Money’ believes that the smaller man may have the edge.
Moicano posted on X that he believes Page could defeat Jiri Prochazka who recently returned to the win column by stopping Jamahal Hill at UFC 311 last month.
The #10-ranked lightweight contender also put forward that the fight could take place at middleweight considering that Prochazka has spoken about competing at 185-pounds in recent times.
“Unpopular opinion! MVP would beat Jiri Prochazca even in the Light Heavyweight!!!! And they could make this fight in middleweight!!!”
Michael ‘Venom’ Page has a lot of options right now
Michael ‘Venom’ Page is in a very unique position right now after earning his second win inside the Octagon.
The 37-year-old is still ranked inside the top 15 at welterweight having opened his UFC account with a win over Kevin Holland before suffering his first defeat against Ian Machado Garry.
After earning the victory over a ranked middleweight, Page is going to have a lot more doors open for him which should lead to another exciting matchup for him in the near future.
It seems unlikely that Prochazka will move down to middleweight right now considering his status at 205-pounds but ‘MVP’ won’t be slim on choices now that he has both 170 and 185 as viable routes.
