Michael Bisping joked that he finally “got revenge” on Georges St-Pierre seven years on from their famous Madison Square Garden meeting.
The legendary former world champions met at UFC 217 in the World’s most famous arena, with St-Pierre winning his second title at middleweight. Since then, the pair have become close friends and reminisce fondly on their heated build-up.
They ran into each other at UFC Saudi Arabia where they watched former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya’s devastating defeat to Nassourdine Imavov. And they posed for an hilarious photo that showed Bisping finally getting his own back after being choked out in their first meeting.

Michael Bisping details the true reason his fight with Georges St-Pierre went wrong
Bisping has always been honest in his reflection on past fights, whether he won or lost. And he has explained that there were a number of issues that arose around the time he faced St-Pierre that may have contributed to his defeat.
“So many things went wrong in that fight,” he told Anthony Smith during an episode of his Believe You Me podcast last year. “Not only were my ribs broken or because of the tour a few days before the fight, which was bad, there was a lot of other stuff going on.
“The jockstrap that I would have had for years was in the cupboard in the garage, and I just got that out and I should have replaced it for the fight. The jockstrap ripped and I’ve got a big metal heavy cup swinging around in my shorts right.. right before I got knocked out and it was in between rounds.”
