PFL’s Paul Hughes really is ‘Big News’ as UFC star-turned-mogul Conor McGregor fires a gun in his latest X tirade directed at Hughes.
McGregor took umbrage with Hughes being friendly with Khabib Nurmagomedov after PFL: Road to Dubai, and it’s been a rollercoaster ever since. Hughes told Nurmagomedov that he’s “not like this other guy,” distancing himself from the Ireland vs. Dagestan feud and prompting a nasty McGregor reply.
In a series of deleted tweets, McGregor blasted Hughes for his conversation with Nurmagomedov, insulting his Irish heritage in the process. Hughes issued a headstrong reply, calling out McGregor for attacking his Irish identity and remarking, “Just shows where your head is at.”
Now, McGregor has taken his trash-talk to comic-book levels of mockery as he blasts a machine gun while telling Hughes to “eat lead.”

Conor McGregor issues warning to “Bootlickin'” Paul Hughes while firing machine gun
In a video posted to X on January 30, McGregor is seen Rambo-style hip-firing a machine gun at a shooting range. He issued a bold threat to Hughes in the caption.
“YOU BUM, LICK A***, TURN COAT, BOOTLICKIN’ MOTHERF******, EAT LEAD!”
Hughes has yet to reply, and McGregor has not deleted the video like his last slew of X-rated messages.
Conor McGregor is picking fights with anyone and everyone
In recent months, McGregor has made headlines for a plethora of confrontations. McGregor was allegedly in talks to fight Logan Paul before that plan fell through. That culminated in McGregor confronting the Paul brothers at Donald Trump’s inauguration, calling them “side jobs.” McGregor-rival Nate Diaz found the Paul brothers incident amusing.
‘The Notorious’ appeared at BKFC Knucklemania V on January 25, where McGregor squared off with main event winner Jeremy Stephens, whom he famously roasted at UFC 205 with the “Who the f*** is that guy” jab.
