Dillon Danis did not agree with the scoring of Usman Nurmagomedov vs Paul Hughes.
Conor McGregor‘s long-time teammate and friend watched on from home as Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s undefeated cousin was pushed all the way in his lightweight title fight at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Saturday night.
Usman Nurmagomedov lost a point in round three for repeatedly landing groin strikes, but he still walked away with a majority decision win courtesy of 47–47, 48–46, and 48–46 scorecards from the cageside judges at PFL Champions Series 1.
Dillon Danis was one of the first high-profile people to publicly question Paul Hughes‘ PFL defeat.

Dillon Danis makes ‘robbed’ claim
Danis instantly took to social media after witnessing what he claims was a robbery at PFL’s latest event.
The 2-0 former MMA prospect tweeted: “Paul Hughes was robbed! Nurmagomedov was gassed and scurrying for his life. Hughes deserved that win!”
Danis earned a mixed reaction from fans after complaining about the Nurmagomedov vs Hughes scorecards. Some people agreed with him, others chastised the 31-year-old for talking utter nonsense.
“It’s rigged,” one fan said. While another insisted: “Nurmagomedov clearly won that fight, my guy.”
“Should we start calling every loss a robbery, or just the ones we don’t like?” someone else asked.
“100% Dillon. Usman with a point deduction also,” another fan commented.
“Rare Dillon W,” this fan wrote.
“Bro Usman won it. You just hate Russians. He clearly won 3 rounds,” one fan theorized.
Why does Dillon Danis have beef with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team?
As a friend of McGregor, Danis naturally has a problem with Khabib and everyone in his team.
The BJJ specialist found himself playing a prominent role when the two rivals met at UFC 229 in October 2018.
After ‘The Eagle’ defended his lightweight title by choking out McGregor, he angrily pointed at Danis, who was in the Irishman’s corner, before scaling the fence to physically attack him during one of MMA’s most controversial moments of all time.
Subsequently, a multi-person brawl broke out, which led to Nurmagomedov and McGregor receiving hefty fines and bans from the sport.
Seven years later, the beef still rumbles on between their respective teams. So, it wasn’t a surprise to see Danis badmouthing Usman after his latest title defense.
You can be sure that Danis will have something to say the next time a member of Khabib’s team is in a high-profile fight as their feud shows no sign of ending in 2025.
