Fans dreaming about Conor McGregor vs Logan Paul have been hit with a painful truth bomb by the UFC legend.
‘Notorious’ has been talking up a $500 million fight with Jake Paul’s older brother recently, with the two men meeting face-to-face to discuss it earlier this week.
However, Dana White has ruled McGregor vs Paul. The UFC boss has also insisted his biggest star won’t be fighting KSI, who is also chasing a matchup with the Irishman.
On Thursday, Conor McGregor provided a sad update on the Logan Paul fight.

Conor McGregor admits Logan Paul fight is dead
McGregor made a wild cameo during Thursday’s BKFC Knucklemania 5 press conference in Philadelphia.
Whilst there, the former dual-weight UFC champion revealed that MMA’s premier promotion had officially shut down his fight with Paul, despite the fact everyone would’ve made a bunch of money.
“The UFC just aren’t into it,” McGregor told The Schmo.
“The offer was there on the table, in writing. Both athletes will say, ‘He’s not fighting,’ but both athletes are under the TKO banner. UFC, WWE both rising up. The stock price of TKO Holding Group through the roof.
“New market in India opened up and booming. It was business savvy, and business sense to make the fight happen. Or should I say the glorified spar happen.
“In between this waiting period that we find ourselves in before I can get back to the Octagon, it made perfect sense on the calendar to go ahead with it.
“The UFC weren’t into it. The WWE, I’m not sure what their interest in it was. I just knew the UFC weren’t into it.”
McGregor recently hinted at another comeback delay as he suggested he will return to the UFC in Novmeber.
That means his spell on the sidelines, which dates back to July 2021, will continue for a while longer.
Conor McGregor explains why he’s changed his tune of influencer boxing
McGregor has spent the past few years distancing himself from boxing bouts with the many influencers who have called him out.
In 2025, the 36-year-old is clearly very keen to jump in the ring with Paul.
So, what’s changed? McGregor openly admits his U-turn is all about the money up for grabs.
He added: “I’m more inclined now for this influencer f***ing, whatever you call it, because it’s astronomical money.
“It’s astronomical, the figures. Who is there? Jake. Logan. KSI. I like the three of these guys and then all these other ones that are tussling around.
“So, it’s an interesting little side pocket branch, we’ll call it. Stuff it down me sock and out I go.”
