UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is one of the last people you’d want to upset.
‘Poatan’ is a vicious knockout who has acquired an army of fans during his rise to the top of MMA.
The pound-for-pound superstar’s little sister’s fight career is just starting to gather some momentum. In October, Alex Pereira watched on as she scored a vicious knockout win over Dee Begley in her Karate Combat debut.
However, Aline is not in a place where she can fully commit to fighting. The 34-year-old recently revealed that she is working as an Amazon delivery driver to make ends meet while she pursues her dreams.

Alex Pereira defends sister from ‘evil’ reporter
On Thursday, Alex Pereira voiced his displeasure with the way his sister’s side hustle had been reported.
The interviewer, Guilherme Cruz, found himself in the firing line of a rare rant from one of the scariest MMA fighters on the planet.
“Bro you almost cut off the recording after my sister said she was working, if you had no evil you would have asked if I helped in any way, but you knew if you prolonged the conversation you know I wouldn’t have a good material for you!,” Pereira wrote in Portuguese on an Instagram post promoting Aline’s latest interview.
“But for people who are trying to win in life, it would be very important! I will do an interview talking about it, at the best time and I will talk about your attitude to the interviewees and especially to my sister, you don’t deserve to have this kind of work with this evil in creating discord and transmitting it to the good people.
“I will reinforce in the video Dana White stop and I’m going to get more behind-the-scenes insights with his coworkers, you like media so you’re going to get media, fire.”
Aline Pereira will continue her combat sports career when she takes on Amanda Torres at Karate Combat 52 on Friday night.
What’s next for Alex Pereira?
Pereira’s next light heavyweight title defense was announced during UFC 311 last weekend.
The 205lb king couldn’t have had a better 2024, as he picked up three emphatic knockout victories to break Ronda Rousey’s defense record. Notably, Pereira also headlined UFC 300, MMA premier promotion’s most prestigious event of the decade.
Top contender Magomed Ankalaev will try to take his title in the UFC 313 main event on March 8. The two men have been going back and forth on social media for months, with Pereira ruling out the fight at one point.
Despite that, they are now set to meet at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on a card that also features a mouthwatering lightweight clash between fan-favorite fighters Justin Gaethje and Dan Hooker.
