Chito Vera taps out Streamer N3on with chokehold during training session

Popular Kick streamer N3on has taken a liking to creating content with professional fighters.

We’ve seen N3on with women’s UFC flyweight fighter Tracey Cortez, and now he’s entered the dominion of savage bantamweight contender Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera.

Vera is a one-time bantamweight title challenger with some of the nastiest highlights in the UFC. Vera knocked out UFC veterans Dominick Cruz and Frankie Edgar, and his bloody rematch with Davey Grant in 2021 was a brutal display of elbows.

That doesn’t mean he’s a savage in person.

Chito Vera locks in a choke on N3on

In one of his recent streams, influencer N3on visited Vera at his personal gym. Vera walked N3on through some fundamental striking techniques before teaching him some submission grappling.

‘Chito’ showed N3on an arm-in and no-arm guillotine before dropping down and demonstrating a D’Arce and Anaconda choke, tapping N3on with the latter. Ironically, Vera doesn’t have any of these submissions on his resume. Instead, he owns finishes by rear-naked choke, triangle armbar, heel hook, and triangle.

Chito Vera’s most interesting UFC result

While Vera was the first man to defeat Sean O’Malley, one of his most underrated fights was against Rob Font in 2022.

Despite losing a unanimous decision, Font outstruck Vera in every round. Font landed 271 of 516 strikes across five rounds as opposed to Vera’s 159 of 283. On paper, it looks like Font should have won, but Vera’s ability to damage his opponents and leave unscathed is unmatched.

Vera walked away from his fight with Font without a bruise on his face, while Font could have starred in a horror movie. All in all, Vera scored three knockdowns, one of them by a crescent kick. All of the knockdowns came late in the round, so Font’s scoring was almost always redundant.
