We might be seeing Paddy Pimblett fight this April.
Pimblett only fought once in 2024, submitting King Green with a triangle choke at UFC 304 in Manchester, England. Since then, he’s been kept on ice, with only minor teases about when or whom he will fight next.
In the meantime, fans have had to make do with Pimblett submitting Denis Frimpong over alleged internet beef at a gym smoker. This was until Pimblett shared another major blockbuster hint for his next fight in a recent YouTube video.

Paddy Pimblett teases UFC 314 booking
Appearing in a video where he reacted to UFC 311, Pimblett gave his thoughts on Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev and Justin Gaethje vs. Dan Hooker at UFC 313 before moving on to UFC 314.
“[…] That’s [UFC] 313 announced. Let’s see what gets announced for [UFC] 314,” Pimblett rubbed his hands together while grinning.
Pimblett is rumored to fight No. 6 lightweight Michael Chandler. ‘The Baddy’ hinted at a fight with ‘Iron Mike’ in December 2024, and it would make sense from a matchmaking perspective. Pimblett vs. Chandler at UFC 314 would be a potential breakthrough fight for the British star. It would also be his third appearance outside of the United Kingdom.
What we know about UFC 314
UFC 314 is scheduled for April 12 in Miami, Florida. Only one fight has been announced so far: perennial welterweight contender Gilbert Burns vs. undefeated dark horse Michael Morales. Miami has a hardcore MMA fanbase, primarily due to the popularity of Jorge Masvidal, who might be making his return at UFC 314.
Masvidal revealed he’d be back in the UFC in April 2025, with no opponent in mind. Falling into the ‘money fight’ fighter category, Masvidal has no shortage of options. A fight with Leon Edwards jumps off the page, but Edwards is fighting Jack Della Maddalena in March. Otherwise, fighters like Vicente Luque have called out Masvidal for the opportunity, which makes more sense.
