In an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow, Flores reminisced over his craziest story, explaining: “One of my friends from Las Vegas, who was working with him, called me up on December 23, and said, ‘We’re in Big Bear, we’re training for a fight with AnesonGib, can you be out here tomorrow’?
“I had no plans to do anything other besides party and have a good time at Christmas; next thing you know, I’m driving out to Big Bear the next day, I’m out there, we fight Gib five weeks later, and the rest, is history.”

Long before he ever had his first world title fight, Flores flew out to Mexico, to hone his craft in one of the toughest countries in the world.
With ambitions to become a legend of the sport, the American started training in the very same gym as one of the greatest boxers the world has ever seen.
And not only did the warrior survive, but he thrived, dominating sparring partners to such an extent that the locals gave him an interesting nickname.
