Paddy Pimblett’s angry reaction to the UFC 311 main event was caught on camera.
The lightweight contender watched from the comfort of his own home as 155lb king Islam Makhachev defended his belt with a first-round submission win over late-replacement opponent Renato Moicano.
Arman Tsarukyan was supposed to headline UFC 311, but he withdrew due to a back injury on Friday.
Moicano promised to ‘shock the world’ when he stepped up to face Makhachev on short-notice, but he looked overmatched at the Intuit Dome in California on Saturday night.

Paddy Pimblett fumes at Renato Moicano tap
Paddy Pimblett shared footage of his live reaction to Makhachev vs Moicano on social media.
It showed the 30-year-old was furious with how easily Moicano gave up when he was locked in a D’arce choke by Khabib Nurgmagomedov‘s protege, who beat Dustin Poirier with the same submission at UFC 302 last June.
“It’s over,” Pimblett said in the video posted to his Instagram page.
“Ah, you f***ing tapped that quick, Renato? Go asleep, lad! Go out on your shield.
“I f***ing hate that, you know. You’re in a f***ing choke, you’re not gonna snap your neck. Go asleep.
“Second straight win by D’arce. That was too easy. It was like he half gave him the sub, lad.
“I thought Renato would put up more of a fight than that.”
Pimblett added the caption: “Credit to Renato for stepping up on 24hrs notice but come on brother you’re never going to get that opportunity again at least go out on your shield and go to sleep.”
Paddy Pimblett wants to fight Renato Moicano
Pimblett cracked the top 15 by choking out Bobby Green at UFC 304 in July, and now Chael Sonnen believes that two more wins will be enough to earn him a shot at Makhachev’s belt.
‘The Baddy has been linked to a fight with Michael Chandler, but there’s been no official announcement about his next Octagon outing.
Moicano has always been at the top of his hit list. The two men have often traded shots on social media, with Pimblett even suggesting they could coach opposite each other on The Ultimate Fighter.
Pimblett’s critical reaction to Moicano’s UFC 311 performance is likely to cause a new spat between them.
It seems to be just a matter of time before the lightweight duo settles their beef inside the cage.
