Wade Plemons vs Moziah Pinder result: Commentator struggles to scorecards in Misfits Boxing debut

Social media star and combat commentator Wade Plemons had to get through some adversity to win his combat debut in Manchester on Saturday night.

The YouTuber called Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz and has interviewed the likes of Canelo Alvarez before making his debut. And he faced off with Love Islander Moziah Pinder at the Co-Op Live in Manchester as the co-main event of Misfits Boxing’s X-Series 20.

Both Plemons and Pinder had been due to compete against controversial Tik Tok user HSTikkyTokky, but the Brit pulled out of both fights for varying nonsensical reasons. Instead, they were matched against each other in this big fight.

Wade Plemons vs Moziah Pinder result

Both Wade Plem and Moziah Pinder cut the figure of professional boxers as they made their way to the ring, showing off impressive physiques after intensive training camps. Pinder had competed in an exhibition to warm up, while Plemons’ experience was not clear heading into the bout.

The crowd were clearly on the side of Plemons throughout the night, and he flew out of the traps early connecting with big right hands in the opening exchanges. Pinder appeared to be unable to defend against his rival and that one shot.

Even KSI on commentary, a famous rival of the American’s over the years who played a part in his firing from Misfits Boxing, admitted to his skills in the opening minutes. Somehow, Pinder managed to survive to the second round, but needed something different as the fight moved on.

It was much of the same in round two as Plemons pushed for the big knockout shot that wouldn’t quite arrive, but he remained completely in control. He clearly ran out of gas heading into the third, but managed to land the big punches at the end of the round that would have won him the round.

And with Plemons struggling to maintain his composure in the fourth, Pinder began to come on and land big shots of his own as he shifted the momentum. Both men had obviously left it all in the ring as they hit the final bell, with the Brit impressing late.

The judges ultimately scored it 40-36, 39-37 and 40-36 in favor of Wade Plemons, who won his big debut!

Wade Plemons is a respected commentator in the combat sports world

Since the coronavirus pandemic, Wade Plemons has been one of the leading voices on social media in combat sport, garnering hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of viewers. He was known as one of the voices of Misfits before being sacked by promoter Mams Taylor back in 2023.

Since then, he has taken over the broadcast at Most Valuable Promotions where he is the frontman for Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian’s ‘Most Valuable Prospects’ shows in Florida. He has also commentated on Floyd Mayweather’s exhibitions.

And while Plemons had an athletic background heading into the fight, he had to transform himself into a boxer during an intense build-up.
