Just one week into 2025 and the UFC are already making some bold moves; with two iconic former champions added to an already-stacked Fight Night card in Seattle.
Not only does former Olympic, flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry ‘Triple C’ Cejudo return to action, but so does the man he once beat for the 135lb title.

‘Stacked’ UFC Fight Night: Seattle card adds two former champions
UFC Fight Night: Seattle is scheduled for Saturday, February 22 and as long as there’s no last-minute cancelations, that event could very well end up being one of the best non-PPV cards of the year.
Earlier this morning, UFC Chief Executive Business Officer Hunter Campbell confirmed via ESPN that both Henry Cejudo and Dominick Cruz have been added to that card in the main and co-main events respectively.
Cejudo will reportedly take on #8 ranked Song Yadong, whilst Cruz faces bantamweight veteran and #9 ranked contender Rob Font.
‘Triple C’ is coming off back-to-back losses to Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili, although he has seemingly taken Khabib Nurmagomedov’s advice on board as he hunts a third UFC world title.
China’s own Song Yadong only competed once in 2024, dropping a unanimous decision to Petr Yan – although still at only 27 years old, there’s plenty of time for the ‘Kung Fu Kid’ to get back into the title mix.
There’s less time for Dominick Cruz, who hasn’t competed since suffering a fourth-round KO loss to Marlon Vera in August 2022 – his next opponent, Rob Font, bounced back from consecutive losses with a solid UD win over Kyler Philips last October.
The rest of the UFC Fight Night: Seattle card is stacked from top to bottom, with the likes of Edson Barboza, Anthony Hernandez, Brendan Allen, and Curtis Blaydes also set to feature.
- Henry Cejudo vs Song Yadong
- Dominick Cruz vs Rob Font
- Edson Barboza vs Steve Garcia
- Brendan Allen vs Anthony Hernandez
- Ion Cutelaba vs Ibo Aslan
- Curtis Blaydes vs Rizvan Kuniev
- Ketlen Viera vs Macy Chiasson
- Adam Fugitt vs Islam Dulatov
- Jean Silva vs Melsik Baghdasaryan
- Modestas Bukauskas vs Raffael Cerqueira
- Mansur Abdul-Malik vs Antonio Trocoli
The card is also reportedly set to feature Michael Chiesa; however, his opponent is yet to be announced.
The fight order has not been officially confirmed by the UFC.
UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs Song is scheduled for Saturday, February 22 at the Climate Pledge Arena in Washington.
