‘I’m coming’… Conor McGregor sends $250million warning to Logan Paul as fight talks continue

Conor McGregor has once again reiterated his $250million price for a return to the ring with Logan Paul this year.

The former two-weight UFC champion has been eyeing a return to the octagon for the past year. But in recent weeks he has set his sights on a boxing exhibition with the younger of the Paul brothers; Logan, which would take place in India.

Rumor has it that India’s richest family; the Ambanis, would fund monstrous purses for the pair to bring the attraction to the nation. And while Paul has remained tight-lipped, McGregor has been keeping fans posted with regular updates.

Conor McGregor details ‘preliminary agreement’ for Logan Paul fight

Last month, Conor McGregor sent social media into a frenzy when he confirmed that he has made a ‘preliminary agreement’ to face Logan Paul this year in India. He was responding to rumors that he might fight UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria, and noted that he was instead coming back to the ring.

Fascinatingly, he and Paul have a mutual opponent in Floyd Mayweather; whom the UFC legend took on in 2017 before the YouTuber faced him in 2021. Since that 2017 outing, McGregor has not been in the boxing ring officially, although he continues to train in the famed Crumlin Boxing Club.

“The rumors of a bout with Topurio are false,” McGregor wrote on X. “I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”

Since that announcement, McGregor has on multiple occasions reposted a hoax report that claims he and Paul will earn $250million each for the fight. He has made it so that the figure has become a subject of discussion around the combat world.

Analysts have been discussing the economics of the bout, as well as the theory that the event would be part of a seemingly fictional ‘Visit India’ tourism campaign. And McGregor seems to love the idea, reposting the claim on multiple occasions.

Last night, he took to X to share a message for Paul. He posted a photo of the WWE star during a wrestling appearance with the caption $250,000,000. #ImComing,” along with an emoji of the Indian flag.
