‘Insane tank of a human being’… Joe Rogan praises UFC Hall of Fame ‘killer’ who dominated in two divisions against the odds

Joe Rogan has used Daniel Cormier to prove his point that most fighters are super-friendly.

Over the past few years, the legendary UFC commentator has found himself in a broadcast trio with Jon Anik and ‘DC’, who he has clearly struck up a strong friendship with.

Daniel Cormier won UFC titles at light heavyweight and heavyweight before retiring from the sport in 2020. Since then, he’s been inducted into UFC the Hall of Fame and launched a successful career as an analyst.

The 5ft 11in, potbellied American achieved all that despite not making his MMA debut until he was 30 years old and spending the vast majority of his 26-fight run facing people much bigger than him.

Joe Rogan praises ‘sweetheart of a guy’ Daniel Cormier

Joe Rogan recently explained the benefits of working out to Rod Blagojevich on his podcast.

“The friendliest people that I know are all killers,” he said.

“Some of my friends that fight in the UFC, if you didn’t know who they were and you met them, they are some of the loveliest people.”

The popular podcaster went on to point out that Cormier is one of the most dangerous men on the planet while simultaneously being one of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet.

Rogan added: “Daniel [Cormier] was a light heavyweight champion and heavyweight champion. He was a two-division world champion and was dominating a weight class in Strikeforce that he didn’t even belong in heavyweight.

“He’s like 5ft 11in. He’s not a big guy. He’s just such an insane tank of a human being. His wrestling was so insane and just his will was so insane. Dominated two different divisions. He was a killer. The nicest f***ing guy you’d ever meet in your life.

“If you were hanging around him, you’d never believe that could pick up anybody in the room and smash them on their head. You would never believe it. You would just think he’s this sweetheart of a guy.”

Daniel Cormier questions Conor McGregor vs Logan Paul

Daniel Cormier may be a nice guy, but that doesn’t stop him from sharing his true feelings on the fight game. The 45-year-old had a lot to say about Conor McGregor after he revealed his shock plan for 2025 last week.

‘Notorious’ hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

It was hoped that he would return to the Octagon next year, but the Irishman recently claimed that he will take more time away from MMA to cash in on a lucrative exhibition boxing bout against YouTuber-turned-WWE star Logan Paul.

“Conor McGregor has told us a lot of things over the last three years. None of them have come to fruition. I’m gonna have to see it to believe it,” Cormier said during an interview with MMA Junkie.

“I think he’s gonna fight in the Octagon. I think he has to, though. For Conor McGregor, he’s got to rinse some of the stench off of him from everything that’s happened outside of the Octagon. Where he made his home is inside that cage, and I think at some point he’s gonna have to get back there.
