Tyson Fury has weighed in at a career-heaviest for his world title rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh tomorrow night.
The heavyweight duo had a final engagement today after staring each other down for 11 minutes at the end of yesterday’s press conference. They both stepped on the scales with clothes, but it was the number for Fury that drew the most interest from viewers.
Fury was a whopping 277.75lb for his showdown with Francis Ngannou last year. But when it was noted by critics that he looked overweight and slow in that razor-close decision win, he shed 15lb for his undisputed title clash with Usyk in May.

Tyson Fury is career heaviest for Oleksandr Usyk rematch
Tyson Fury was the first to the scales tonight, making the rare appearance as a challenger after losing to Oleksandr Usyk by split decision back in May. He refused to strip off any of his clothes, including a hefty leather jacket, a baseball cap, jeans and a belt.

As such, he tipped the scales at a whopping 281lb, marking the heaviest he has ever come in for a fight in his professional career. He had hit the 277lb mark twice prior, in his trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder and his meeting with Ngannou, but it remains to be seen how much of this weight was the clothes.
Meanwhile, Usyk tipped the scales with a t-shirt and his trousers on, coming in at a career-heaviest of his own at 226lb. This marks a massive 55lb difference, but neither of their actual weights will be known until fight night when they weigh in again.
Tyson Fury refuses to speak after weighing in for Usyk rematch
Following the weigh-ins, Fury was quick to get out of the venue, just stopping to tell hosts the one word “war”. Usyk was similarly tight-lipped, but at the very least gave a customary interview on stage before leaving.
Asked how he was feeling, he replied: “Nothing.” He elaborated a bit more when it comes to how he pulls off being so calm, adding that “My Angel helps me, my God and Jesus help me. My family and my team, my wife also helps me.”
When he was asked to whom he would dedicated tomorrow night’s fight, Usyk cheekily replied that he will let the hosts know after the fight. “I will talk to you tomorrow,” he joked, before thanking the crowd for attending.
