Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury have both now officially weighed in ahead of their enormous heavyweight rematch on Saturday, December 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Whilst both superstars are coming in heavier for the rematch than they did for their first fight; both ‘The Cat’ and ‘The Gypsy King’ opted to remain fully dressed in order to skew the scales.

Oleksandr Usyk sends final message to Tyson Fury after shock weigh-in result
Undefeated Ukrainian hero Oleksandr Usyk has officially weighed in at 226lbs for his upcoming rematch with ‘The Gypsy King’, the highest he’s ever been since moving into the blue-ribbon division.
- Tyson Fury 2 (2024) – 226lbs
- Tyson Fury 1 (2024) – 223.5lbs
- Daniel Dubois (2023) – 220.9lbs
- Anthony Joshua 2 (2022) – 221.6lbs
- Anthony Joshua 1 (2021) – 221.0lbs
- Derek Chisora (2020) – 217.0lbs
- Chazz Witherspoon (2019) – 215.0lbs
Despite staring each other down for a whopping 11 minutes after yesterday’s press conference, it seemed that everyone involved wanted to keep tonight’s show moving along.
After Usyk weighed in, the pair stood awkwardly next to each other on stage for a brief photo opportunity (barely even a face-off this time around) before sending their respective final messages.
The Ukrainian said that he was feeling “nothing” less than 24 hours before the biggest fight of his professional career, and when asked how he stays so relaxed, simply thanked those around him.
[None of this gets to you, how?] “Because my angel helps me, my god Jesus helps me, my family and my team, my wife, more help me.”
Yet Usyk’s final message left more than a few wry smiles on stage, when questioned who this fight will be dedicated to, ‘The Cat’ simply grinned and teased “I talk to you tomorrow.”
Oleksandr Usyk will be around 55lbs lighter than Tyson Fury tomorrow night, although there is an argument those figures are off by some 3-8lbs given the weight of the clothes.
In truth, Usyk could be 100lbs lighter and you still wouldn’t see any change to his demeanor, as he’s claimed repeatedly throughout fight week: “If size mattered, the elephant would be the king of the animal [kingdom].”
Whilst Oleksandr Usyk has only ever-so-slightly upped his weight (again, plus/minus clothes), Tyson Fury has surprised the boxing world by coming in at 281lbs.
That’s around 4lbs more than he was for the rematch against Deontay Wilder, and around 20lbs more than he weighed in for his first showdown with Usyk.
Fury exited the stage before the broadcast team could get one last conversation, although ‘The Gypsy King’ did reportedly state one singular word… “War.”
War. Rivalry. Legacy… The second chapter of this unbelievable contest will be written into stone tomorrow night, live from the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia.
